Biblical names
In the Old Testament, the names of individuals are meaningful; for example, Adam is named after the “earth” (Adamah) from which he was created. Abram’s name meant (a high father) – He was elevated to another level when it came to his covenant with the Lord — God change his name to fit the occasion and from this point on, Abram would be known as Abraham (the father of a multitude).
